Suspension of Kurdistan FA

Kurdistan logo

Kurdistan FA decided to withdrew the hosting of CONIFA World Football Cup 2024 and furthermore 2025 as plan B, just weeks before the kickoff with no Force Majeure reasons given. The KFA decision created a financial loss for several of our members and in addition a trust damage towards both our members and CONIFA as an organization.

The CONIFA Global Executive Committee decided to suspend Kurdistan FA from all CONIFA activities for an unlimited time. The suspension will be lifted as soon as the Kurdistan FA pay a penalty fee, which will be used to partly compensate our members for their financial loss. So at the moment, Kurdistan FA are excluded from all international football inside CONIFA and have no opportunity to promote and celebrate the beauty and greatness of its people.
