Khalistan FA
Background
The Khalistan FA became established 6th June 2022 and has been established to represent the footballing aspirations of the Sikh people, a distinct ethnonational, people with a global diaspora. The KFA will represent the Sikh people both in the spirit of sporting excellence and cultural posterity so that the coming generations of Sikhs can find a place where there aspirations can be represented, in alignment with CONIFA’s values of inclusivity, self-determination, and international solidarity.
We are commited to developing grassroots football within the global Sikh community. The KFA has started this work with academies of Sikh clubs, such as the Khalsa Football Academy and various Gurdwara teams, who develop players in their local leagues. These local leagues will be a key avenue for KFA trials and for KFA player selection. KFA has its own ongoing league, the Never Forget 84 League, and its own tournament, the National Shaheedi Football Tournament, which in 2025 hosted its 12th annual tournament.
The KFA will build on its existing infrastructure to develop players from within Sikh diaspora hubs in the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain and Australia, from which Sikh teams have already been getting together to play annual competitive matches. The KFA will organise domestic trials and international friendlies and aims to participate in future CONIFA competitions with KFA team to represent Khalistan as a nation.
