The Indigenous Sport Council of Alberta (ISCA) represents a commitment to fostering a strong foundation of holistic health and wellness within Indigenous peoples and communities. By promoting sport, physical activity, recreation, and cultural engagement, ISCA works to empower Indigenous people, their families, and their communities to lead healthier lives. The organization strives to unite and inspire, supporting physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being through competitive and recreational opportunities that honor and celebrate Indigenous identity and resilience. ISCA also champions the development of elite Indigenous athletes, providing them with the resources and competitive opportunities needed to excel and inspire their communities, while fostering pride and
representation at the highest levels of sport. The ISCA became a member of CONIFA in November 2024.
