Background

Tibet is a region Northeast of the Himalaya. It is the traditonal homeland of the Tibetans, who today also live in a huge diaspora in India, mainly around the city of Dharamsala.
Tibet is the highest region in the world with the Mount Everest not only being the peak of Tibet, but also of the world. The Tibetan National Sports Association, which also governs the Tibetan national football team, was established in 2002 under the Indian Societies Act XXI in Dharamsala, India. The national team of Tibet has competed in several international football tournaments and matches before, like the 2006 FIFI Wild Cup in Hamburg, Germany. Now they are looking forward to return to the global stage after they focused on regional development for a few years.
