Africa Football Business Summit, Kenya

After the successful participation at the SoccerEx MENA in Kairo, Egypt, CONIFA are delighted to announce that the CONIFA Continental President, Africa: Ngala Maimo Wajiri will speak at the Africa Football Business Summit 2025 in Mombasa, Kenya, where he will share his powerful insights on inclusion, governance and the future of football development in Africa under the theme: Building Africa’s Football Future: Investments, Governance and Grassroots Football

Ngala Maimo Wajiri, is a visionary sports leader and one of Africa’s foremost voices in football governance and disability inclusion. As the President of CONIFA Africa, Ngala is redefining the landscape of alternative football governance across the continent. His leadership saw the successful hosting of the first-ever CONIFA African Cup in South Africa, as well as the establishment of strategic international partnerships positioning Africa as a rising force in global football innovation.

His dedication to inclusivity is deeply reflected in his pioneering work in disability sports. As the Pioneer President of Amputee Football in Cameroon, he led the national team to its historic debut at the African Nations Cup in Angola and oversaw the launch of the country’s first amputee football league. His impact extends continent-wide through his role as a Media Committee Member at the Confederation of African Amputee Football (CAAF), where he continues to champion visibility and opportunity for athletes with disabilities.

Beyond these milestones, Ngala is the Cameroon/Africa Ambassador for Sportyano, promoting grassroots development and youth empowerment through sport. He also serves as President of Let’s Talk Football Club, a dynamic third-division team nurturing emerging talent and recently celebrated for earning a bronze medal at the 2024 Bamenda Youth Cup.

Ngala Maimo Wajiri’s journey is a powerful testament to leadership, inclusion and innovation — a driving force in building bridges between mainstream and marginalized sporting communities and shaping the future of African football.
