Men´s World Football Cup 2024 – qualification

The CONIFA Global Executive Committee decided, 16th October that following procedure will be applicable for the qualification for the CONIFA World Football Cup 2024 for Men:

  • 31st December 2022, the ExCo will determine the number of Active members in each Continent (paid membership fees 2023)
  • The Mens WFC 2024 can be a 12 or 16 team tournament
  • Closed tickets: The host, the current World Champion and CONIFA Global ExCo WildCard
  • Each continent are guaranteed 1 ticket (spots) in the tournament.

 

This means – as an 16 team example – that there´s 13 tickets to distribute to six continents.

Example:    Africa – 3 active members   (3 / 30 = 0,1) 10% x 13 tickets = 1 ticket
Example:    Asia – 5 active members  (5 / 30) = 0,17) 17% x 13 tickets = 2 tickets
Example:    Europe – 15 active members (15 / 30 = 0,5) 50% x 13 tickets = 6 tickets
Example:    North America – 2 active members  (2 / 30 = 0,07) 7% x 13 tickets = 1 ticket
Example:    Oceania – 1 active member (1 / 30 = 0,03) 3% x 13 tickets = 1 ticket
Example:    South America – 4 active members (4 / 30 = 0,13) 13% = 2 tickets

In total: 30 active members, 13 tickets avaliable

Each Continental President together with it´s Continental Committee will define how each Continent can qualify.
