CONIFA is seeking a Women\u2019s Football Director for immediate placement.<\/p>\n

The Women\u2019s Football Director will be in charge of stimulating the growth of women\u2019s football across the network of CONIFA members, working with and leading a Women\u2019s Football Committee.<\/p>\n

The role will involve assisting members with existing women\u2019s football programmes with the running of their programmes but also assisting member FAs without a current women\u2019s football programme in setting one up.
\nThe focal point for the Women\u2019s Football Director will be organising a CONIFA Women\u2019s World Football Cup in 2019, or 2020 at latest.<\/p>\n

The position is voluntary<\/strong>\u00a0(as are all CONIFA positions) and is remote with the expectation to attend monthly Skype calls and to communicate progress regularly to other members of the CONIFA Executive Committee.<\/p>\n

Hours per week:<\/strong>\u00a05-10 hours recommended but at the discretion of the Director to set a working schedule that is manageable around other commitments.<\/p>\n

The main tasks will be:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Liaising with all CONIFA members to ascertain the current status of women\u2019s football.
\n\u2022 Assisting in the creation of short, medium and long-term plans for development of women\u2019s football by CONIFA member FAs.
\n\u2022 Providing assistance to member FAs in overcoming barriers to development \u2013 these may include lack of equipment, lack of opportunity for competition, lack of coaching expertise etc.
\n\u2022 Helping create a community of active women\u2019s football teams within CONIFA and encouraging communication between their FAs with an eye to future competition and sharing experiences.
\n\u2022 Searching for a suitable host FAs for competitions, starting with the Women\u2019s World Football Cup.<\/p>\n

When taking on this very challenging role, the Women\u2019s Football Director will be assisted by a team of fellow volunteers and can expect the support of a dedicated team of CONIFA ExCo members.<\/p>\n

Useful skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Knowledge of what CONIFA does and why and the obstacles its members may face.
\n\u2022 Coaching qualifications or experience.
\n\u2022 Strong organisational skills, event management.
\n\u2022 Grant writing \/ fund-raising skills.<\/p>\n
