Background
The Rohingya people are Muslim Indo-Aryan peoples from the Rakhine State, Myanmar
They are an ethnic Muslim group in the majority Buddhist country and make up around one million of the total 50 million population.
They hail from the country’s northwest and speak Rohingya. Almost all live in Rakhine, one of the poorest states, with a population of three million.
Rohingya Football Club (RFC) is an independent football club based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
RFC aims to develop a program that uses people’s passion for football to build opportunities to help Rohingya youth in self-development and to transform them into professional players.
